Hey friend! Today I’m sorting through and sharing one full year of empties—an entire tote filled with skincare, haircare, makeup, sunscreen, body care, candles, household products, and more.
I saved approximately 95% of everything I finished over the past year, organized it into categories, and gave quick thoughts on what I loved, what I did not enjoy, and what I would consider using again.
In this video, I go through:
Face cleansers, toners, serums, and moisturizers
Shampoo, conditioner, and hair treatments
Makeup empties
Sunscreens and acne treatments
Body care, shower products, and hand care
Sheet masks and potted masks
Dove bar soaps and Blueland refills
Candles, toothpaste, deodorant, and a few random household empties
Some of my standout favorites included the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule, several of my sunscreens, and my Blueland products. I also found a few products that I definitely would not repurchase.
One of the most interesting parts was seeing how frequently my husband and I actually finish practical products. Based on this collection, we use roughly one deodorant every four months and one toothpaste about every other month.
This project gave me a much clearer picture of what I genuinely use, what lasts longer than expected, and what deserves a place in my routine. I cannot wait to compare this collection with everything I finish during the next year.
Let me know which category surprised you the most—and whether you save your empties before recycling or throwing them away!
