✋You DONT need to spend a whole rent check to look like you just left a salon and to prove it I got the @ellabella 6 in 1 styler which is MUCH more affordable (and the ONLY titanium version I’ve seen so far 👀) and maybe I’m just gassing myself up…but I think they look BETTER 💅
✨ Here are a few helpful tips and tricks to get the BEST blowout curls no matter what tool you have:
1️⃣ Start with hair that is slightly damp NOT soaking wet and not fully dry. If your hair is already dry mist it with a little water. These tools work best going from damp to dry because that is what locks the curl in.
2️⃣ Detangle really well FIRST!!!! This is the part nobody talks about. If the hair is tangled, the air cannot wrap the strand smoothly and you end up with frizzy, uneven curls. Smooth hair = glossy curls.
3️⃣ Take small sections about one inch. If you grab too much hair, the airflow cannot do its job and the curl will fall and the ends wont wrap.
4️⃣ Let the barrel FULLY dry the section before you move it. Be patient here. You are not just curling. You are blow drying the curl into the hair.
5️⃣ Use the cool shot button before you release the curl. This is what sets the shape. If you skip this the curl drops almost immediately.
6️⃣ Clip each curl up after you finish it if you want real hold. I didn’t do it in this video but this is the difference between curls that last one hour and curls that last all day.
7️⃣ Use very light product. A lightweight heat protectant or flexible hairspray/mousse before you start. Then a tiny bit of hair oil just on the ends after you are done for that smooth salon finish!!!! (The step everyone forgets or doesnt know about that makes a HUGE difference!!!)
✨THIS is how you get glossy, bouncy blowout curls that actually STAY and dont end up with you getting a round brush stuck in your hair lol.
